Job Description

Mechanical Design Draughtsman

Role Purpose:

The provide of this role is for the Mechanical Draughting support to the Projects Department and the production /Maintenance Department.

Responsibilities:

Design and detail mechanical components for both Projects and Maintenance activities.
Produce piping layout drawings and provide draughting assistance when required
Create, revise, and maintain Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
Prepare accurate layout drawings for the installation of new equipment across the production.
Provide drawing and detailing support during mechanical breakdowns, including measurement, modifications, and technical adjustments.
Compile and update Line and Valve Lists.
Liaise with Process Engineers, Vendors, and other stakeholders to gather technical information and resolve design issues.
Deliver technical support to Project and Maintenance teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage, organize, and maintain all mechanical drawings to ensure version control and accuracy.
Provide general administrative and documentation support when necessary.
Offer draughting support to other engineering disciplines as needed.
Consistently maintain a high level of attention to detail and drawing quality.
Submit weekly progress reports to the Drawing Office Manager.
